Steve Martin, Owner and Everything
Welcome to Steve’s mid-life crisis. For 27-year as he was in advertising as an art director, owner and 18 years as a creative director, developing solutions for a variety of marketing challenges. As these challenges grew more weighty, Steve realized he needed a change. With the support of a loving and understanding wife and family the Bike Bistro was born and the fulfillment of a five year dream to lead a more satisfying life. With service and safety as Steve’s number one goal his new challenge is to continually evolve, grow and better himself and the Bike Bistro experience. His favorite comment from a client “If you rest, you rust”.
Mike Volk, “Crank n’ Stein” Service Monster
As a mechanic Mike is scary good. With a life-long love and bikes and the outdoors, Mike also likes a good craft beer (or two). Trained alongside some of the best regional mechanics Mike is Shimano and Specialized Tech Certified. He is a great all-rounder from sales to service with a depth of knowledge, sure to make your cycling experience a pleasure.

Troy dabbles in all things bicycle. 12 years of riding and racing over hill and dale in Michigan. Founder of Second Chin Racing. If it has pedals and a chain, he will ride it. He is a bonafide Explorer, Roadie, Graveler, Mountain Biker and beer chaser. The world is his friend and he is waiting for you to come in. He will gladly help you with any questions you may have about biking and bicycle stuff.
Meet Katie Settle, our team “Gearleader”
Her rapier wit and expansive vocabulary keep staff and customers alike entertained. Raised in Ireland, Katie did a stint at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD before establishing a career with Ralph Lauren in their display and merchandising division. She sought a less corporate life and thankfully made her way to the Bike Bistro. We put her OCD for organization to work immediately. Katie does not shy away from getting her hands dirty either learning mechanical skills and pitches in where ever she is needed. So don’t be a “Doddypoll”, come in to chat with Katie and the rest of the Bistro Team!
Meet Mark Maddox, “Service Marximus”
Meet Mark; a veritable jack of all trades and our very own Swiss Army man. A childhood spent traversing the globe, twenty-five years in the United States Air Force and a few diving certifications later and Mark somehow found his way to the Bike Bistro. Whether you have questions about bicycle components, Australian coral or handy Turkish phrases to keep in your back pocket – Mark is your guy. Come by and take advantage of his plethora of knowledge and winning personality!
